I love Kendrick, but the Grammys are so boringly predictable. Giving him Best Rap Album again for 'GNX' feels like they are on autopilot. There were so many exciting new sounds in rap this year—GloRilla, Doechii, JID—but the Academy just lazily votes for the name they recognize. It’s the 'safe' choice. Hip-hop is evolving, but the voters are still stuck in 2015. Give someone else a chance to shine.
